Jenna Lyn Albert (they/them | iel) is a genderqueer poet, community organizer, and amateur drag king (Guy Haute-Ween) living on the traditional unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Wolastoqiyik people with their partner and two cats, Magnolia and Chrysanthemum. Their debut collection of poetry Bec & Call (Nightwood Editions 2018) won the New Brunswick Book Awards’ Fiddlehead Poetry Prize and they served a two-year term as the City of Fredericton’s Poet Laureate from 2019-2020. Jenna is currently working on their sophomore collection of poetry, mal à l’aise.
